Guess what, I just grabbed a piece of scrap paper from my cabinet. It turns out this piece of paper is a worksheet from those <a href="http://www.wrightgroup.com/index.php/programsummary?isbn=0076020401&longCopy=Y" title="Everyday Math Journals" rel="nofollow">Everyday Math Journals</a> that we used from grades 1-6. This particular work sheet was on converting celsius to fahrenheit. Apparently, I did very well at mindless computations. Bye. (Get the preview button back. Remember how in 2nd grade we were multiplying 4 digit numbers? That was intense. Also: They no longer have number machines in the elementary school math curriculum. They were the perfect analog for functions, especially for function notation. How are these kids going to learn?
