Guess who has the 67th most popular black t-shirt on cafepress.com?
It took about a year, but finally people are starting to buy my shirt en-masse. I think it is the introduction of black shirts that really is driving the sales. Most of what people are getting are the mug or the black t-shirt. Too bad I can only mark up the black t-shirt about a dollar before I break the $20 price point. At this point, I’m less concerned with making money and more concerned with just getting my stuff out there. I assume sales are also up because of the holiday season, but I’ve sold like 15 products in the last 45 days, compared to like 10 ever before then. It’s really a positive-feedback thing, as the more shirts I sell, the easier it is for people to find my store on cafepress, the more shirts I sell….
My family and I worked up all these other geeky t-shirt ideas that I’m going to make over break. Math and science jokes mostly, but they’re pretty funny if you get them. Too bad Thinkgeek didn’t reply to my e-mail when I pitched them the idea.
