Crazy Dreams

Apr 08 06 | 10:26 am

I finally got enough sleep last night for me to have some cool dreams.

The first dream was Chris and I were staying at a hotel in some city. We were meeting EO for dinner at some restaurant, but I had to go back to the hotel to grab something. When I got back, it turns out that instead of eating, Chris had gone into the restaurant for a dental cleaning, and mine was scheduled for in ten minutes. This was pretty odd.

Then I had a dream that I was part of a field trip to see Saddam Hussein’s trial. Instead of having it in, say, a courtroom, it was in a deli. Also, the judge made it very clear we had to wrap everything up in under half an hour because that’s when the deli would start serving lunch. There were about 30 kids scattered around the edges, and Saddam was being asked questions in the middle. I also think the deli was in Korea, because everyone working there was Korean. Two Korean guys started to drill a big hole in the case next to me, and I looked at the kid next to me and we were both like “uh oh”. I got up and went over to a UN security guard guy and told him what I saw. He said I had seen too many action movies and it was probably nothing. About then the lights went out and a guy dressed totally in black combat gear dropped through the ceiling. There were immediately like 20 laser sights on him. After he was incapacitated (there were no shots and no blood, so maybe some sort of dart?), they started to load him into like a case instead of onto a stretcher. I thought this was really sketchy, and before they loaded him one of the women in charge of the trial came over and asked him a bunch of questions that sounded like they should be in “The DaVinci Code” instead of in a trial for Saddam Hussein. I assumed that this drop down guy was really just some sort of decoy while they smuggled Saddam out of the hole they had cut in the deli meat case, but I couldn’t tell because at this point I woke up.

I think I am glad my life isn’t like 24 all the time.
