On Celebrity and Karma

Today a lot of people in school told me they were playing Deception over the weekend. They generally were like “I didn’t get any work done; I hate you!” I guess I made a good game if it kept people from doing anything productive.

I was talking to Sam about deception at lunch when the kid sitting at the table from third lunch got up to leave. He turned before lifting his tray, hitting my soup bowl and knocking soup all over my tray. I watched the soup spill onto my tray, but what I didn’t realize was that it was going to spill over the edge and all over my shorts. The kid got me some napkins, but it didn’t really do much. Beef stew had soaked its way into most of my shorts. My reaction was interesting. I didn’t really get upset or anything. It was just like “aww man now I have to go physics with stew-pants.” For the rest of the day, anytime I got up quickly, I could smell beef stew for a second. I also got surprisingly few weird looks in the halls.

On the up-side, the Reminder came today. They ran a front page article about Bobcat Robotics. The reporter interviewed me and Jeff, but Jeff had to go to a doctor’s appointment, so it wound up being only me in the article. I wish that other kids could have come, but it was on a weird day and short notice. As it is, the article only mentions me by name, accredits all the photos to me, and pretty much quotes most of the facts about the team. *sigh*. The article only contained a few factual errors (Aces, sorry how they called you 178 instead of 176, we <3 you guys anyways). Overall, the article was pretty good, all things considered. Plus a full color team photo on the front page is pretty bangin’.

[edit] The Reminder updated their site. You can find the article right here. Enjoy! [/edit]

  2. Oh by the way, I cannot seem to access “Numbers”, it doesn’t seem to recognize it as an invalid string.
