Sometimes, when I’m bored, I google myself.

Again?

Saturday was Battlecry. It was sort of funny because the robot didn’t fit under the bus, so one of our mentors had to drive it up in his truck. The bus got there just after he did, and team 40 kids were helping unload the bot so we could get on the field for our match that was about to begin. We rolled it from the truck to the field, paper toweled it off, and stuck in a borrowed battery. No dashboard, no bumpers, no problem. We even managed to tip Aces High and ourselves. From there on out we went 4-1 in the qualifs. We picked Aces and got randomly assigned Rosie, then proceeded to win a semifinal we should have lost (in typical 177 style). Somehow we pulled out another all-UTC-alliance win. It was off the hook. Best part? We stopped at Fresh City for dinner.

Sunday was rain. Sunday was my graduation party. Sunday turned out pretty good anyway. A ton of people came; thanks everyone! Too bad there wasn’t much swimming. Some of my cousins were crazy enough to try it though. I also managed to get over to Monica’s party, and hang out with Katie and Amy. I forgot Katie knew Allie, so that was coincidental? Overall, it was fun.

Today I started my job. I am working at Medical Risk Managers, a small business in town that sells medical reinsurance. If you look at that website now, you might go “hmmm”. By the time I am done with my job, hopefully you will go “wow!”. I am an IT intern focusing on revamping the MRM internet-type-stuff. Today I set up my computer (yay show extensions!) and then ported some MRM content into some sweet templates, and then got assigned a project for tomorrow. The MRM server is IIS so it doesn’t parse PHP like my Apache server here does. Therefore, all of my server side scripting is going to be done in SSI and ASP. If you didn’t understand the last sentence, don’t feel bad, ask a nerd.

Comments:

  1. So after the whole nerd site not having PHP thing getting resolved, you have to go and use ASP anyways.

BTW, 177 did awesome at Battlecry.
