A Winner

The winner of the story telling contest is in. While technically this story has already been told to the world, the sheer amazingness of the style of writing lands it a place here as the winner. Check out Aaron’s (of Canada) account of Ketchup from the Pit.

Budarz wrote in a story that wasn’t really a story and just pointing out that Colby, Seth and I are no longer producing the frequent, high quality blogging that the world has come to know and love. I would speculate that this has a lot to do with the fact that Seth and I have gone to college and are busy with such things as learning how to use Matlab and other flavors of homework and the fact that Colby is just sort of lazy. I will attempt to keep my blogging at least weekly and at least decent, but most of my stories will now revolve around characters you don’t know, in places you are unfamiliar with, and doing activities that are hard to explain out of context.

For instance, I could recount to you how I bought a NERF gun and then attempted to modify it to shoot further, but it wouldn’t make sense. I could tell you that we have since obtained another NERF gun that fires using two revolving wheels instead of the more traditional spring-powered pnuematic system, but it is difficult to explain through words. I could tell you about the time we ordered an Alex Davis Special from the library at 11pm while working on reading about how to present data in graphs, but you don’t know what an Alex Davis Special is (to be fair, neither did the guy at Domino’s).

So with that being said, I will do my best to continue to present you with high quality content. All I ask is that you do the same, or at least comment. In the mean time, seriously read Aaron’s thing; it’s amazing.
