The Rest of Canada

The short: dinner, the rest of Ellen’s family comes, cards, Oklahoma!, cards, dinner, beach walk, fireworks fail - too much wind, clever fire tricks, fireworks!, ferry, Michigan.
The longer:
We saw Oklahoma in Stratford, Canada, which is famous for putting on spectacular plays. I remember seeing Oklahoma at TEMS, so I associated all the characters with who originally played them. Oh Ali Hakim, how you crack me up.
Ellen’s family plays a card game called Pinochle, which is similar to many trick taking games. Since tennis team played Hearts a lot and Colby’s dad taught us Bridge and my parents taught me Set, I am fairly versed in trick taking games. I picked the rules up pretty quickly and didn’t do half bad. It’s pretty fun, and we will have to bring it back to Olin.
If it is really windy, put a candle in a bucket and use sparklers to light the fireworks.
More to come from Michigan!
Slow down with the blogging. I’m studying for finals and can’t keep up.
