Three Dreams

a) In my first dream, I was fixing pinball machines and building a modeling foam dog with olin kids in Mrs. McGrey’s room at Orchard Hill. This was made a lot harder by the fact that I didn’t have any of the pinouts for chips I needed to build the circuit I was trying to replace, which was the one that made the flippers flip. Ellen was instructing me how the circuit was supposed to go, and it was her repair guide we were following. Eventually we stop on the pinball and go over to trying to make a dog out of yellow modeling foam. Evan and I are having a lot of fun at this, and the dog is very jiggly due to it’s size. Mrs. McGrey and the male third grade teacher who’s name escapes me right now come in, extremely confused as to why there are a bunch of college kids in her room. I ask for some plastic bags to keep the modeling foam from drying out overnight. She gave me seran wrap to keep model fresh, and a chocolate chip cookie.
b) My next dream was like the introduction to some movie. It was a voiceover describing these four millionaires’ houses on a hill somewhere, how they made their money, and what they do now that they’re rich. One guy was a tinkerer who never left his house. He didn’t have any sons, but wanted them. A ghostly outline of a small child appears, with the same grey hair and big funny moustache as on the tinkerer guy.
c) In my next dream, I accidentally become a contestant on The Real World. I show up halfway through the introduction to the main rules, but not absolute last. Some old guy on a wheelchair barrels in and galls over, making him the last contestant to show up. After the explain the rules but before they let us go into the house, they tell us to turn around and reach over the rock wall to get a beverage we’re allowed to take in. I wait until the end, and the beverage I get is “liquid cake frosting, just add flour.” Weird. Inside the house, people seem to be quickly forming alliances. The house has a Family Guy pinball machine, which I play a bit. Then for some reason, I black out and don’t remember a while. There is a challenge, but I don’t remember doing it. My team loses, so we have to face off against the other losing team in a house building competition. This is where I woke up.
